Current Research Descriptions
- Processing new compositions of ultra-high temperature ceramics (UHTC) and composites using spark plasma sintering (SPS) that will allow us to develop unique nanostructured materials
- Develop high-temperature testing and characterization test methods in order to understand at temperature oxidation and mechanical properties
- Developing novel compositions of UHTC powders for use as high-temperature defense applications
- Modeling phenomena during the processing of materials using spark plasma sintering through finite element analysis modeling
Modeling is a key part of the research processes.
