Curiosity Sparked By Magic Show

A large group of 9th and 10th graders visited the University of Arizona this week to learn more about the great science and engineering programs that the school has to offer.  This opportunity gave them the chance to see many really neat things from all corners of the campus, including the Materials Science Magic Show.

Laboratory Tours Inspire Undergrads

Both informational and fun, the tours Corral's Laboratory hosts for undergraduate students is a great opportunity for seeing hands-on applications of classroom learning.  The end-of-semester tour is a conclusion to a Materials Science and Engineering course, MSE 331R, that Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students are required to take.  Here, students can see many things that simply cannot be shown in the lecture setting.  It is also an opportunity to see if research in this lab is something the students are interested in pursuing.
